Jo O’Meara (Joanne Valda O’Meara) born on April 29th 1979, is a British singer / songwriter , actress, and TV personality – best known as being the lead singer of pop band, S Club 7. The band debuted back in 1999 after being formed by Simon Fuller – the creator of the Spice Girls – and during their time together they released 5 albums, had 4 hit TV series, as well as various spin-offs, their own movie, 3 Arena tours and a string of hit singles. Once the band split back in 2003, Jo launched her solo music career in 2005 with her first single What Hurts The Most and her debut solo album, Relentless.
Jo has also appeared in two reality TV shows.. a singing competition show called Just The Two Of Us which aired on the BBC back in 2006, followed by an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.
S Club 7 reunited in 2014 for a performance on BBC’s Children in Need before announcing the Bring it all Back Arena tour for 2015. These day’s, Jo is busy performing with two of her S Club band members, Bradley and Tina as part of S Club 3 / S Club Party as well as being a mother to her son, Lenny who was born in 2008.
